Parents, as you know, we are only a few weeks away from our 62nd Jack
& Mariah Summerall Family Gathering.
If your child would like to sing in the Youth Choir on Sunday morning
of the Gathering, please contact Family Music Director: Alfonso Gibson

Rehearsals will be on Friday night after service and Saturday morning
from 10 AM to 11:45 AM.

UPDATE FROM PROGRAM CHAIR
6/23/17
The program committee is putting the final touches on the program for the 2017 Gathering. We ask that you please adhere to all deadlines for early registration and submission of information.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
Early registration deadline has been extended to July 15, 2017. Any registration received after that date will be $60.00 per person, so we are asking that you get your registration in before the early registration cut-off date. If you have not received a registration form, please contact the corresponding secretary, Carol Alderman at: [email protected].
FAMILY NEWS DEADLINE:
The deadline to have your family news included in the program booklet is July 15, 2017. If you have any information that you would like included, please send by that date to the program chair at: [email protected].
2017 GRADUATES:
We are looking to identify all 2017 Graduates. Please submit your information by July 15, 2017, along with a photo, to be included in this year’s program booklet. All submissions should be sent to the program chair at: [email protected].
TALENT SHOW:
Do you sing? Do you play an instrument? Do you dance? Do you rap? Do you have any other talent? Sign up by July 15, 2017, for the “Jack’s Talent Show”, which will be held on Saturday evening at the Parker-Harrell Building. We need representatives from each family branch. Don’t delay…sign up today!!!
YOUTH FIELD TRIP:
A field trip to Rock ‘N Roll Bowling for our youth has been scheduled for Saturday between the hours of 12 PM to 4 PM. Price per person is $10.00. This includes 2 games of bowling, shoe rental, and a meal w/drink. A chartered bus has been reserved for transport to and from the event. Please remember this is on a first come/first serve basis. Please advise by July 15, 2017, to reserve a seat for your child. If any adult family member would like to chaperone our youths, please advise the program chair at: [email protected] or 954-683-2649.

Calling all Jack Summerall Youths!!! Parents, do your child love to sing? BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Greetings Family!
I am so excited and just wanted to take this time to update you on our upcoming Family Gathering plans. Cousin Henrietta has been working hard to provide meaningful activities for family members of all ages. We have events planned which will allow us to express our gifts and talents in a variety of ways. Our men will lead us in worship on Thursday and our youth will lead us on Friday. Saturday we will start off with our annual memorial walk/run followed by our family breakfast. But prepare yourself because Saturday afternoon we will be out and about: a picnic, basketball game, and a special outing for our youth has been planned. Saturday evening we will have our talent show and we will end the night with a dance for our young at heart!!!
We need your help though! Please call or email Cousin Henrietta at (954)683-2649 to find out how you can help to make our Family Gathering even better! Registration is open and we need you to register early if possible. Please remember that we will be awarding the top three family branches who have the most family members registered by July 15, 2017. Early registration ends July 15, 2017 so make sure that you get your registration in and have it postmarked on or before July 15, 2017 to qualify for early registration.
Lastly, if you have pictures or family updates please get them in to Cousin Henrietta by July 15, 2017 so that they can be included in our family souvenir booklet. I am looking forward to seeing all of you and I pray that as the time of our gathering draws closer God will bless you and bless you indeed until then…”Be blessed my brother, be blessed my sister, be blessed wherever this life leads you! Greetings Family Members,
The Summerall Family Gathering Program Committee is excitedly planning activities for our 2017 Gathering.
As we begin to put together activities for this year’s Gathering, we are asking any family member who would like to participate to please provide your information to: Henrietta Greene at 954-683-2649 or [email protected].
The following is a tentative schedule of events for this year’s Gathering starting on Thursday August 24, 2017 and ending on Sunday evening, August 27, 2017.
Thursday Evening Opening Program/Men’s Night
(SFG Men in charge of services)
Friday Morning: Family Retreat (Activities for the Entire Family)
Men/Women: Health Screening, Insurance Seminar, Life/Health Insurance, Wills, Financial Planning
Young Adults: Peer Pressure, Anti-Bullying, etc.
Children: Storytelling, smoke house/roll over simulator, drug dog and fire truck demonstrations
Friday Evening: Church Services - Youth Night
Saturday Morning: Memorial Walk/Run/Motorcade
Family Breakfasts
Noon: Business Meeting
Afternoon: Picnic
Basketball/Softball Game
Family Photos
Evening: Miss Summerall Contest

We are seeking to identify one representative from each family branch to be the go-to person when information and assistance is needed. If you are interested in representing your family branch, please contact the program chair.
If anyone is interested in participating on the program for Thursday/Men Night, Friday/Youth Night or Sunday worship service, please feel free to contact the program chair, Henrietta Greene at: [email protected] or 954-683-2649. We are also in need of volunteers to help serve after services on Thursday and Friday nights, and assist/serve at the picnic on Saturday. We are also looking for families to participate in the talent show on Saturday evening. Remember, this is a Family Affair.
